NAVIGATION AND WALK ON THE PERITO MORENO GLACIER – AN IMMERSION INTO THE VASTNESS OF PATAGONIAN ICE

Duration: Approximately 8 hours
Departure time: 09:00 AM
Location: Perito Moreno Glacier – Los Glaciares National Park
Age policy: Allowed for people aged 6 to 70
Difficulty level: Low – requires basic mobility due to rocky terrain, stairs, and slopes

Itinerary:

  • Departure from El Calafate with transfer to Los Glaciares National Park

  • 20-minute boat ride from Puerto Bajo las Sombras across Lago Rico

  • Guided 1h30 hike along natural trails (approx. 1.5 km) with scenic views of the glacier

  • Return to the boat for a close-up view of the glacier’s southern wall

  • Transfer to the Perito Moreno walkways with 2 hours of free time for observation and snacks

  • Return to El Calafate
