PENGUIN NAVIGATION – BEAGLE CHANNEL – USHUAIA

Season: Summer
Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Departure time: To be confirmed at the time of booking (departing from the Ushuaia Tourist Pier)
Child policy: Allowed for all ages. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.


Itinerary:

  • Departure from the Ushuaia Tourist Pier, with panoramic views of the coastline and landmarks of the city

  • Navigation toward Sea Lion Island, with observation of sea lion colonies

  • Continuation to Bird Island, home to Magellanic and Imperial cormorants

  • Visit to Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, with insight into the Monte Cervantes shipwreck (1930)

  • Crossing the Beagle Channel to Martillo Island, where you will observe Magellanic penguins nesting during the summer season

  • Sighting of Gable Island and Puerto Williams Naval Base (Chile)

  • Return to Ushuaia passing by Túnel and Fique Estancias
