Season: October 1st to April 17th
Duration: Approximately 11h30 (includes 4h30 of trekking)
Departure time: 08:30 AM (meeting point at Puerto Punta Bandera)
Location: Estancia Cristina
Age policy: Minimum age: 12 years. Not recommended for people with back, hip, ankle, or knee issues
Difficulty level: High – requires excellent physical condition and experience with demanding trails

Itinerary:

  • Meeting at Puerto Punta Bandera at 08:30 AM

  • Navigation through the North Arm of Lake Argentino with panoramic views of the Upsala Glacier

  • Arrival at Estancia Cristina

  • 4x4 ascent for 9.5 km to Feruglio Mountain Range

  • Start of the trek with views of Lake Guillermo

  • 4h30 guided hike to the Upsala Glacier viewpoint

  • Continued hike through eroded trails to the Cañadón de los Fósiles, where ancient marine fossils can be seen

  • Return to Estancia Cristina and boat ride back to Puerto Punta Bandera
