ESTANCIA 25 DE MAYO – COUNTRYSIDE AFTERNOON EXPERIENCE

Itinerary:

  • Arrival at Estancia 25 de Mayo, one of the oldest in the region, covering 17,000 hectares

  • Welcome with mate tea, cowboy coffee, and fried pastries, while learning about the estancia’s history and its role in the founding of El Calafate

  • Sheep shearing demonstration using scissors, and explanation about wool production and sheep trade in Patagonia

  • Guided tour of the facilities, including:

    • Historic buildings, old tools, and the shearing shed

    • Plant nursery and organic garden supplying the ranch’s kitchen

    • Corrals and rural management areas

  • Stop at Mirador del Arroyo to enjoy mountain wine and confit lamb

  • Return to the hotels (for those who booked only the afternoon tour)

  • Guests who selected the Afternoon + Dinner Show package will continue to the restaurant for a traditional Patagonian dinner with live music and folkloric show (see separate description)
