Ascent along a scenic trail to Balcones del Calafate, at 950 meters altitude
Panoramic views of Lake Argentino, El Calafate, the source of the Perito Moreno Glacier, and the peaks of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre
Stop at a marine fossil site with shark teeth, oysters, and sedimentary formations
Wildlife observation: possible sightings of condors, eagles, foxes, and native animals
Optional 20-minute walk among rock formations and ancient Patagonian steppe
Final stop at the mountain refuge, with a typical country meal:
“Bife a la criolla” served as a sandwich or on a plate
