Itinerary:

• Departure from El Calafate in 4x4 vehicles toward Estancia Huyliche

• Drive up the trail to Balcones del Calafate, reaching 950 meters altitude

• Panoramic views of Lake Argentino, El Calafate, the source of the Perito Moreno Glacier, and the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre mountains

• Stop at a marine fossil site: shark teeth, oyster shells, and sedimentary formations

• Possibility of spotting condors, eagles, foxes, and native wildlife

• Optional 20-minute walk through rock formations and the Patagonian steppe

• Return to the mountain refuge for a traditional Patagonian snack: homemade biscuits, bread, jams, tea, coffee, mate, or hot chocolate
